Astragy to adress IDC Business Intelligence 2008

Arent van ‘t Spijker will deliver a keynote address on Competitive Intelligence at IDC's upcoming Business Intelligence 2008 conference in Amsterdam.

The conference is held on March 19^th 2008 at the Radisson SAS Hotel Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. The address will focus on practical case studies of effective Competitive Intelligence based on Astragy's applications. Astragy staff will be available for a live demo of products at the Astragy booth during the conference.

Research by HP shows need for Astragy

Over 92% of top IT decision makers in Europe feel their organization is not exploiting the competitive advantages of Information Management. This is one finding of the 2008 Pressure Point Index survey released by HP at the Gartner Business Intelligence Summit in Amsterdam.  The research underlines the added value of Astragy to corporations.

Steven Kribbe, technical director at Astragy, is surprised that the main objection against the exploitation of the data is the fear of complex technical implementations. "Astragy offers Software as a Service, so no ICT implementation is needed at all. And the SaaS model also means that both risk and initial investment can be kept to a minimum. So building the business case is straight forward. Total implementation times hardly exceed 12 to 16 weeks and the average ROI is less than 18 months. And there is not ICT hassle."

Astragy releases Astragy v3.0

On March 1st Astragy will release the latest version of the Astragy Competitive Intelligence suite. The Enterprise Edition v3.0 builds on the already successful previous version, which is already being used by multinationals throughout Europe. This new versions focuses on user experience. New features were added and the interface has undergone subtle changes to make it both faster and friendlier.

Arent van ‘t Spijker, Astragy's managing director, explains: "Since the release of v2.0 we have been working closely with customers to develop new features and technologies that would improve the return on investment on Astragy. The new features are a direct result of their wish to select and view data from multiple angels and with more speed and reporting flexibility. The Aquabrowsing module for instance, was inspired by a customer's need to 'surf' through large quantities of contextual relations to quickly gain insight into intercompany and interpersonal networks. In a similar fashion, the personalized homepage was created from the necessity to provide every individual with the means to center information around his/her particular business interests."
